Mr. & Mrs. Louis (Clara) Butti of Avon, Ohio, are
members of Calvary Baptist Church, formerly the First Hungarian
Baptist Church of Elyria, Ohio. Clara Petes Butti was born in Hungary
and came to the United States as a child after World War II. Louis is
a son of Paul and Elizabeth (Toth) Butti, Hungarian immigrants and
early members of our church. CBC is very grateful to Clara & Louis for
their time, patience, and skill in interpreting these records.
If you are a descendant of one of the early church
families, or you, yourself, have memories of the First Hungarian
Baptist Church of Elyria, share your story or pictures with us by
contacting Sharon Bramhall at 440/734-7434 or

Watch for the next issue of early
church clerk book pages at this website. The interpreting of the these
Hungarian records is a work-in-progress. As they are completed, they
will be added here.
